Lajvanti lives in the Budh Vihar area of Khaan, near Delhi’s Badarpur border. She is a social worker and also gives some of her rooms on rent to migrants.
In this audio she warn migrants like herself not to trust strangers blindly. She shares one of her life’s experiences, and recounts how someone she knows migrated from his village to the city, attracted by the promise of a job by a stranger – and how he was then abandoned to fend for himself in the city.
