Azad Lab (Free To Speak) is a show that discusses issues that are often sidelined by the mainstream but that cause much disruption and anxiety among young people like masculinity, caste etc.
Episode producer Nigahe, a 17-year-old resident from Subhash Nagar, has produced an audio story on how the four walls of a home has been portrayed as a space of safety and dignity for women. It’s where she is seen as being protected from the outside world. But for many women, those same four walls become invisible chains — a site of control, silence, and confinement. While the home can indeed be a sanctuary, it is also where dreams are often paused, choices are limited, and voices are unheard. Girls are told to stay inside “for their own good,” while the real intention is often to regulate their mobility, their freedom, and ultimately their identity.

Through this exploration, Nigahe challenges the traditional notions of honor and protection, urging us to listen to the stories hidden behind closed doors — stories of resilience, resistance, and the desire to step beyond those boundaries.

आजाद लब (Free To Speak) एक शो है जो उन मुद्दों पर बात करता है जिन पर मुख्यधारा में ज्यादा चर्चा नहीं होती, लेकिन जो युवाओं के बीच बड़ी चिंता और परेशानी पैदा करते हैं, जैसे मर्दानगी, जाति आदि।
एपिसोड निर्माता निगाहे, जो 17 साल की हैं और सुभाष नगर की रहने वाली हैं, ने यह ऑडियो स्टोरी तैयार की है। इस कहानी में उन्होंने बताया है कि कैसे घर की चार दीवारी को महिलाओं के लिए सुरक्षा और सम्मान की जगह माना जाता है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि चार दीवारी उन्हें बाहर की दुनिया से बचाकर रखती है। लेकिन कई बार यही दीवारें उनके लिए नजर न आने वाली ज़ंजीर बन जाती हैं — जहाँ उन्हें चुप रहना पड़ता है, फैसले लेने की आज़ादी नहीं होती, और उनका सपना घर की सीमाओं में ही कैद हो जाता है।
हालाँकि घर एक सुरक्षित जगह हो सकती है, लेकिन वही जगह कई बार उनके सपनों को रोक देती है, उनकी आवाज़ को दबा देती है और उनके फैसलों को किसी और के हाथ में दे देती है। लड़कियों से कहा जाता है कि वे “अपने भले के लिए” घर के अंदर रहें, लेकिन असल में यह उनकी आज़ादी और पहचान को सीमित करने का एक तरीका बन जाता है।
